- December 8, 2008 - Well, deer hunting season is just about gone. It’s black powder season now with less than a week to go. Been a slow year for deer here in Charleston. Hope that some of you have had better luck than Steve & I have had so far. Thanks goodness for Hannaford!
If anyone has been to camp, a road report would be great. Since we haven’t had much snow, we assume that the road is still ok. We did have reports of some flooded spots a few weeks ago.
Happy Holidays to everyone and a happy and prosperous New Year!!

- October 8, 2008 - It has been a while since I posted here. August and early September were really busy and then I had computer problems. Hopefully, things are back on track now.
We took the boat out last weekend and moved the dock to the other side. It is hard to believe that summer has come and gone.
Meeting minutes from the August meeting have been posted. Sorry for the delay.
As the weather turns colder and snowier, we would appreciate road reports from any of you that travel into camp. Some folks travel quite a way, so it is helpful to have an idea of whether or not they will be able to drive in.

- June 30, 2008 - Nicatous Lodge has new owners!
Ray & Christine Sealey have purchased Nicatous Lodge from the Sheldons. Ray is from Australia and Christine is from Boston. They have two small children—Adelaide who is two and a half and Max who is five months old.
The lodge will be serving lunch daily and they have a breakfast buffet on the weekends.
Be sure to stop by and give them a warm welcome!

- June 30, 2008 - Loon Count
During the 2007 association meeting, there was quite a bit of interest in participating in the annual Audubon loon count. Steve Buzzell has contacted the coordinator and she is very interested in adding Nicatous Lake to the statistical data on the Maine loon population.
To best cover the lake, we need a minimum of twelve volunteers on July 19, 2008. The count is done from 7 AM to 7:30 AM.
If interested, please email us via the contact form on this site.

- April 23, 2008 - Just received word that the ice is out of the lake. Roads are rutted up pretty badly with still some wet spots. At this point, that is all I know. If anyone contacts me with more info, I will post it here.
